Visit the old pump station

Visit the cultural history museum Bøtø Nor Gl. Pumping Station – a unique historical memorial. Discover how a large part of South Falster was reclaimed through drained areas.

The summer season begins June 23rd, but groups can always make an appointment for a guided tour of the old and new pumping station.

First opening day is Sunday 23 June 2 am to 5 am. Until 25 August, we are open on Thursdays and Sundays.

Thursdays from 2 pm to 5 pm – Sundays from 10 am to 1 pm

Fishing in the canal

Fishing in the canal is a way to support the museum, all proceeds from the sale of fishing licences are considered donations and go towards the operation, maintenance and renovation of the museum.

You can buy a fishing licence that is valid for one day and costs DKK 30, or you can buy one that is valid for seven days and costs DKK 70. You can pay by mobilepay on 774519 or in cash at Coma in Marrebæk.

You can fish on both sides of Gedser Landevej, from the new pumping station and all the way down to the railway bridge. You can fish from sunrise to sunset.
